About Us - Saint Columba URC Liverpool

Although a relatively young church by some standards being founded in 1942 the current Saint Columba URC Church
was only completed in 1964 Saint Columba has a moderate sized congregation who enjoy their worship, social
activities and also enjoy welcoming visitors to worship.
Saint Columba church is proud to be part of the United Reformed Church and has embraced the
new Vision4Life initiative and we are looking forward under Alan's guidance to starting the 'Prayer Year'
in November 2009.
We also adhere where possible to the Fair Trade policy of the United Reformed Church.
Saint Columba's church and church hall are quite busy on most days of the week ranging from
the outreach into the local community of the 'Coffee Pot' on a Wednesday morning, where Alan makes himself
available to anyone who needs help and advice. The local children are catered for with the newly formed PIlots
group, G.K.R.Karate group (non contact) and the Children's Musical Theatre group. There are also Craft groups
weekly and monthly as well as our Church being used for United Reformed Church Training Days from
time to time and Stamp Fair's.
We are a caring congregation at Saint Columba and try to look after our 'worship family' and local community to
make sure nobody is left feeling alone, vulnerable or unwell.
Under Alan's guidance and leadership we can only envisage exciting times ahead for
St.Columba URC, why not join us in worship or just pop in to have a coffee and a toasted tea cake at
the Coffee Pot on a Wednesday morning and let us extend a warm Saint Columba welcome to you.
